1. Who We Are
Consulting Alma, LLC (dba Alma LLC) ("Consulting Alma," "we," "us") operates almallc.org and provides coaching, speaking, and HR consulting services. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site and our services.
2. Information We Collect
- Information you provide: name, email address, phone number, company, message content, and any details you share in contact forms, intake forms, or coaching sessions.
- Payment information: processed directly by Stripe. We do not see, store, or have access to your full card number, CVV, or expiration date. We receive a transaction confirmation, last four digits, card brand, and billing zip code.
- Scheduling data: collected by Calendly when you book a session (name, email, time-zone, any answers to booking questions).
- Automatic data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) used for security and analytics.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To deliver the services you purchased and schedule sessions.
- To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
- To process payments and issue receipts.
- To send transactional emails (receipts, confirmations, intake links).
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- To improve the site and our services.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data only with vendors necessary to operate the business:
- Stripe — payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant). See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Calendly — appointment scheduling. See Calendly's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting & email delivery — operational infrastructure.
- Talkadot — speaking-inquiry intake (when used).
5. Cookies & Tracking
The site uses essential cookies required for navigation and security. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some site features may not function correctly.
6. Data Retention
We retain coaching session notes and intake responses for the duration of the engagement plus seven (7) years for legal and tax recordkeeping. Payment records are retained per IRS requirements. Contact-form inquiries that do not result in an engagement are deleted after twenty-four (24) months.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Opt out of any marketing communications you previously consented to.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. UK residents have rights under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. EU residents have rights under the GDPR. Canadian residents have rights under PIPEDA (and applicable provincial laws such as Quebec's Law 25). To exercise any right, email dsimmons@almallc.org. We respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including HTTPS, access controls, and reputable vendors with industry-standard certifications. No system is 100% secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active clients.
